Each one brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organisation. 

 

Founder and Chief Exec

Mary-Jane Armstrong






Mary-Jane is the founder of the Well Now, Wellbeing Centre, and has a vision of an inclusive wellness clinic, offering various therapeutic approaches to support clients suffering from poor mental health, these therapies will be available within the centre. Mary-Jane has trained in most aspects of Mental health, as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Trainer, Holistic Therapist, Mindfulness Teacher, Wellness Coach, Mental Health Advocate and has worked with many of the 3rd sector mental health organizations. "I already have a proven track record of improving peoples physical and emotional health and improving their quality of life".

Secretary

Fiona Jackson








Fiona is a skilled negotiator and has a natural ability to get the best out of people, in previous roles Fiona was in charge of teams, helping new businesses start up’s and going into current businesses to troubleshoot when required. 

Fiona will use her skills for helping develop working partnerships and will also help develop partnerships working, within the organisation and act as business development.


Fiona has a natural way with her and will be part of the welcome team, volunteering as well as being on the board, making people feel at ease, whilst participating and visiting the centre

Treasurer

Paulene Pender







Paulene has a background in working with youths and has been an LGBT youth worker, Paulene has a natural affinity with young people and actively listens to what their needs are and if these are being met, an ambassador for the LGBT community, where Paulene encourages all young people to grow up with inclusive and accepting attitudes. 

Paulene has a degree in Psychology and is approachable and has lots of great ideas for the Youths in our community and will be organizing a program of activities. Paulene is also a skilled therapist and healer and helped run a wellness centre before, and is looking forward to using her skills as a volunteer at the centre.

Secretary

Business Development






Sarah has an academic background and has a passion for helping women in business achieve great things, Sarah is a Mindset coach, a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, therapist and a motivator amongst other things.

Sarah has an uncanny skill of asking the right questions at the right time in the right way, and gets the best out of people, and is not afraid to challenge people's views in a positive way.

Sarah is happy to volunteer to help steer the company in the right way. Every board needs a person who asks the tough question, we welcome this approach, I'm sure Sarah will keep us on our toes.

Mental Health Advisor 

Maureen Day






Maureen has a friendly unique approach as a person-centred counsellor and is also an expert in Autism and is qualified in assessing Autistic traits within others during the therapeutic environment. 

Maureen also has a business background and Marketing background and has successfully mentored other businesses to achieve their goals. Maureen has a busy practice and is currently training to be a supervisor, but is more than happy to offer her experience at the Well Now centre, in person and also in an advisory role, and will be running courses/workshops.

I will be responsible for the operational side of the business, as well as running classes, workshops, training programs, therapies and individual 1 to 1 sessions, just not all at the same time.

Alison Bruce


Alison will be offering admin support, as well as being a Clinical Hypnotherapist will also be actively involved in assessing clients needs and will offer the right treatment for the client.

Lynsey Gow











Lynsey has a sports therapy background and will be offering Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Therapy Scotland in Functional Cupping, dry needling. As well as foam rolling and K taping. Lynsey is one of the founders of healthy fun runs and organises health initiatives.

Maria Sharp


Maria will be offering Reiki healing, coaching, and as a fitness coach will be running classes and offering 1 to 1 training,  Maria is our doctor doo little, she loves animals and they love her, in the future once other projects have been established she will be offering animal healing so we can develop these pets as therapy dogs/cats.

 

Lesley anne Derks


Lesley Anne Derks is a local and International artist, who specializing in working with reflective light within her paintings, she is also an art teacher at college and has worked in mental health using art, we are delighted Lesley Anne will be joining us as and when we are running art and mental health initiatives.

 

Janice Kennedy


Janice is a busy lady and has a full time job, but in her spare team, she is a volunteer, Janice will be crucial to have on board, Janice's is a problem solver her communication skills are second to none and will be a great 1st point of contact, as well as helping at events.

Lynne Phillip


Lynne has joined us as a volunteer, and will man the reception area, and help out where we need her. Lynne has a warm nature and puts people at ease, with a background in banking, accounts and managing people and teams, she will be a welcome addition to the team.
